It all started around 6 or 7PM, a few people started showing up at my apt. and the drinks started to flow. It was your basic party for the most part - people drinking, talking shit, smoking... the usual. At one point a table was destroyed - completely flattened.
The Early Party
Around 11:30 we realized it was time to go elsewhere... so we headed to the Cut loft party down the street on S.2nd & Union. It was incredibly packed and it took awhile to get in, but we managed to do so before the ball dropped. In the process of getting from the door to the party our crew was dissolved. I couldn't find half the people I was with. But hey - that's how it goes sometimes.
The Cut Loft Party
Shorty after the ball dropped I managed to find a few people who had just got in at that point. I decided to leave and head back to the apt - where there were still people partying. Shortly after my return home everyone started showing up... nearly all of whom where on acid. Things started getting completely out of control at this point. A Roman Candle was set off in my kitchen, several pieces of furniture were destroyed, people were running up & down the fire escape, and general filth was abound. Thanks to the acid there was a distinct Lord of The Flies meets Fear & Loathing in LV vibe in the air. Another effect of the acid was this all went on until 10 in the morning.
At the begining of all this I locked myself in my bedroom in order to avoid being tied to anything that took place. It was a smart move because when I woke up it looked as if a small war had taken place in my kitchen. Scattered about was blood, trash, broken pieces of furniture, shards of glass, cans, and food - all festering in a liquid layer of filth. It was pretty ugly. Like I said, I stayed in my room for most of this, but I came out to snap a few pictures towards the end.
Unfortunately, when I woke up the next day I was so awstruck I failed to take pictures. So I don't have any proof of the destruction. That said, I spent my teenage years in bands and have been involved with trashing many, many places. This was one for the books - I guess you'll have to take my word for it.
